About the Original Oak Island Lighthouse:

Completed in 1958, this tower is one of the newest lighthouses in the United States! It is constructed from concrete and stands 169 feet tall. The light-beacon flashes 4 times every 10 seconds. Still in operation today, the Oak Island Lighthouse is open to limited tours, scheduled in advance.
