Plastimo Offshore Plus Liferafts, Canister and Valise

The Offshore+ is designed for bluewater long distance cruising and racing, and is constructed with essential features such as two stacked tubes and a self-erecting canopy, the largest ballast pockets in the Plastimo range (10.9 gal/42 liters) and an insulating foam-coated fabric double floor for hypothermia protection. The Offshore+ equipment package meets ORC requirements and includes: two floating anchors with 33' (10m) line, pump, 2 paddles, floating knife, rescue quoit with 98' (30m) line, bailer, 2 sponges, repair kit, checklist, instruction manual, survival instructions and signal card. The signaling package includes 3 SOLAS handheld flares, 2 SOLAS parachute flares, 2 chemical lightsticks, signaling mirror, retro-reflective tapes on canopy top and bottom, 12-hour lithium light on canopy top, waterproof flashlight and a whistle. The personal survival package includes 1.1 pt (.5 liter) water and 4.4 oz (125g) food rations per person, a fishing kit, first aid kit, seasickness pills, a raincatching gutter on the canopy and a rainwater collecting pouch.

This construction allows : - to take advantage of the very best features of every material : offering extreme resistance outside, and perfect airtightness inside ; - to reduce the cost of servicing : the outer shell is closed by a heavyduty nylon zipper, which allows for easy access, should the inner chamber need to be removed for repair ; - to repair more easily at sea, especially if the damage is situated under the water line. 3. You will feel safe. Our liferafts " adhere " to the sea. For additional safety, our liferafts are equipped with large deep ballast pockets, to improve the stability of the liferaft and prevent drifting. This ballast system keeps the liferaft stable in rough waters : anticapsizing forces are multiplied by 3 or 4 (as compared to standard water pockets). 4. You won't loose the survival equipment. In all Plastimo liferafts, the survival equipment is packed in a watertight pouch that is secured inside the raft : whatever the conditions, the equipment will always be close at hand , and also visible through the transparent pouch. 5.
