The Shamrock V Model Ship is one that is built to perfection. This Half Model Ship was built with extreme attention to detail. You will not find a ship that has such intricate details and beauty anywhere else.
History of the Shamrock V:
Built in 1930 by Camper and Nicholson in Great Britain, Shamrock V was the first of the great J class sailboats to be built, and the last of Sir Thomas Lipton's challengers for the America's Cup. There were ten of these immense sloops built in the years prior to World War II to either defend or compete for the Cup. Shamrock V is one of the three remaining, and the only one of those three with a wooden hull (the other two are steel). This model of the Shamrock includes deck detail.
