Story:

The 130 foot J-Class sloop Endeavour was commissioned by British airplane magnate Sir T. O. M. Sopwith to challenge the New York Yacht Club for the America's Cup in 1934. She was built by Camper & Nicholson of Gosport, England and narrowly lost to America's Rainbow. Widely regarded as one of the most beautiful yachts in the world, Endeavour raced in England until 1938 and posted many victories. She changed hands many times after WW II and fell into disrepair. She was purchased in 1984 by Elizabeth Meyer of Rhode Island and restored to her former glory.
